SMALL GROUPS
Part of the good news found in Jesus is that he brings us into a new relationship with God and with others in the church family. In a church of our size, we won’t be able to know everyone and so it’s good for us to be getting to know some people well. That’s why we encourage everyone who can to be part of a small group. Our small groups provide a place where we get to know and encourage others in the church family and where we can feel supported and cared for. Within these groups we aim to share our lives as we pray and study the Bible together week by week.
A number of these groups meeting during the week and they are a key part of church life. Our small groups include: Home groups, Tuesday Central (18 -30s), Women’s Morning Groups, MEMBs (Men’s early morning Bible study) and a Lunchtime Men’s Group. Once a month, all our small groups gather together in the church building on Wednesday night for our Church Family Prayer meeting.
If you are interested in joining one of the groups below or just want to discuss what might be best for you, one of our ministry leaders would be happy to talk to you. Please do email the office so that they can put you in touch.
HOME GROUPS
Groups of around 10 people meeting in homes around the city and beyond, led by two or more members of our church family. Most home groups meet on Wednesday evenings, though some meet on a Tuesday evening or Sunday afternoon. A home group meeting usually consists of time to catch up over coffee and cake, before we explore the Bible together and pray for one another in the ups and downs of life.
Our home groups are overseen by Keith and Julia Taylor, longstanding members of our church family, and by Darren Coult, who is part of the pastoral staff team.
TUESDAY CENTRAL
Tuesday Central is Christ Church’s group for young adults 18–30s. It is a great place to meet people at a similar stage of life in a fun, relaxed, and friendly environment. On Tuesday nights we meet together in groups to catch up, to apply God’s word to our lives in small groups and to pray for one another. Groups also aim to keep in touch and spend time together through the week.
Tuesday Central is overseen by Niv Lobo and Fiona Bourne, two of our associate ministers, along with a team of leaders from the church family.

MORNING GROUPS
Morning groups provide a great opportunity for women to meet together for fellowship and Bible study whilst children are cared for in a supervised creche. Groups meet on Tuesday or Thursday mornings in the church building from 10am till noon, following the same Bible study series as our Home Groups.
Morning groups are led by women from across the church family and overseen by Rachel Browning, one of our associate ministers.
MEMBS
The Men's Early Morning Bible Study (MEMBS) meets at 6.45am on Fridays for coffee and croissants or bacon butties. This group offers men a chance to study the Bible in small groups, pray and meet with others all before the working day starts! The group meets at Christ Church and follows the same Bible study series as the Home Groups.
MEMBS is led by Richard Newman, who has been part of our church family for many years and has a passion for helping men get to know and grow in Jesus.
LUNCHTIME MEN’S GROUP
A new group meeting on Monday lunchtimes for men to meet together in the middle of a busy week to study the Bible and pray for one another. Led by Matt Bennington, one of our pastoral team.
